TIME: 7:30pm

LOCATION: 144 Old Jackson Highway, Beech Island, SC 29842

FEATURED SPEAKER: Featured speaker for our Jan. 20 meeting at 7:30 p.m. will be Julia Jackson, programs and marketing director for Historic Augusta, Inc.  Her presentation, "The McKinne-Whitehead-Rowland collection at the Georgia Museum of Art," examines a group of ceramics, silver and glass that descended in the Augusta and Burke County families of McKinne, Whitehead and Rowland.  She will show photos of the objects and discuss their attributions, photos of their original owners and share a picture of the owners' lives and family connections.  The first owner of the objects was Barna McKinne, who owned and operated Indian trader George Galphin's mill at Silver Bluff and married Anne Galphin, fourth child of Thomas Galphin II and Sarah Smith.
